Barbara Froula’s paintings in watercolor, oil and egg tempera have a special appeal to those who love historic architecture, cities and
landscape. Her images of Seattle, San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Prague,
Aspen, Vail, Boulder, and Denver are published in books, posters, art prints,
magazine covers and over a million cards.
Travels in Kenya, Egypt, Tahiti, the Caribbean, Tuscany, the Galapagos Islands,
and the National Parks of Arches, Zion, Bryce, Grand Canyon and Canyonlands have inspired
her landscapes. Her floral paintings capture the luminosity and color she finds
in exotic places and her own backyard.
Barbara attended the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and Auburn University,
receiving a degree in Architecture and the AIA medal. She received an Award of
Honor from Historic Denver and painted the image for the
official 2011 BolderBOULDER poster.
The Gallery exhibits and sells her work in an historic storefront in Denver’s Washington Park neighborhood.
